MC Sevda was born as Sevda Alizadeh in Teheran, (iran) in 1987.
At the age of 5 she moved to the Netherlands with her family. Although she didn't have musicians in her family, she started performing when she was only about 8 years old. Dancing, acting and mc'ing. She entered every contest that she could find.
Growing up in a small town called Hardinxveld, it was hard for her to express her creativity. Nobody shared her passion for music and especially for hiphop.
In 2004 Sevda moved to Amsterdam to broaden her horizon. A mutual friend introduced her to Ninthe, a singer sho had a #1 hit with Lange Frans & Baas B. They started writing songs together and in 2005 they entered 'De Grote Prijs van Nederland' as a duo. Eventually they reached the finals in Paradiso and won the prize for audience's choice. But Sevda wanted more. She wanted to finish her school and play basketball, which is her other passion. She chose to leave her music career behind in Amsterdam and go back to her parents. here she started het HBO Media & Entertainment at InHolland in Rotterdam and began her career as a professional basketballer.
In the summer of 2008 she was asked to start mc'ing at Meet The Streets. Besides mc'ing and vocals in English, Sevda expresses her partly Brazilian roots bij singing in Portuguese! After getting into the groove of mc'ing and vocalism on house and urban music, she worked together with big names like real El Canario, Ricky Rivaro, Flexican, Rockid, D.E.F., Dyna, Sidney Samson just to name a few. Sevda also performed at parties like Streetlab, Musica Republica, Sexed Up, Clitz and many more! MC Sevda is ready to conquer the scene!
